Bluenose is the nautical symbol of Canada. Built in 1921 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia as a fishing schooner, Bluenose held the International Fisherman's Trophy Cup from 1921 to 1938, winning the races an unprecedented 5 times. One of Canada’s greatest icons, Bluenose has been depicted on three Canadian stamps and is found on the Canadian dime coin.
